My work explores a quiet path between people and the environments we move through. Focusing on the quieter edges of adventure, moments of endurance, repetition, and stillness that subtly shapes the way people exist. I am there, part of it, and looking around.

Home to Home

a multimedia project

“On September 9, 2019, four friends journeyed together down the Colorado Trail with a handful of film cameras and a guitar. The premise was for Joe to run from his home in the Front Range, where he’d lived for a decade, to his new home in the San Juan Mountains, documenting the excursion using all analog media. Joe ran, photographed, and talked his way along the 500 miles of trail, accompanied by Chris on his acoustic guitar, and Brendan and Forest on their 16mm and 35mm cameras. The nine days spent together manifested in a convergence of people, place, and experience, rooting the crew in a deeper appreciation and understanding of home.”
